I am an applied scientist with a drive to create positive impacts for the apiculture industry. I have a PhD in molecular ecology and joined Plant and Food Research in 2015 where I currently lead the Bee Biology & Productivity Team based at Ruakura. Always eager to making science relevant for food producers, my current research focuses on managing honey bees for productivity and disease. I have a particular emphasis on varroa control and different methods for preparing honey bees to best deliver pollination services.
